Position Description

Supports the branches mission through effective branch based sales and service efforts and community involvement. The Financial Services Representative I is responsible for developing and managing retail banking relationships in accordance with First Citizens Banks core values and prescribed sales process. Primary focus is on loan and deposit production and fee income generation. Position operates mainly inside the branch. Position identifies all financial services needs and refers to business/commercial, wealth and other banking partners to meet client needs.

Principal Accountabilities:
Inside Sales: Develop and implement a retail sales plan to achieve monthly sales and profitability objectives outlined in the Banks sales program expectations. Identify needs and sell all bank products to broaden and deepen relationships with customers and prospects, adhering to the Banks prescribed sales process. Utilize bank sales tool. Develop and utilize centers of influence to help generate referrals.

Platform Sales: Secure licenses required for the Platform Sales designation in the Banks Licensed Platform Associate program and consistently sells at or above targeted Platform Sales goal levels. Refer to Wealth Management partners for products and needs not within the targeted scope of the PS position.

Service: Answer questions and resolve problems for customers concerning all services provided by the Bank. Identify the problem, collect data, secure answers, and report results to the inquiring party and with the Supervisor, Operations and Service or other Bank associates as necessary.

Risk Mitigation/Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations and bank policies on all loan applications and deposit product documentation. Keep current on product knowledge, competition and on compliance issues related to deposit and lending products. Maintain internal controls.

Partnerships: Maintain a productive working relationship with branch partners, Business and Commercial Bankers, Wealth Management and other corporate divisions, bringing sales partners into client relationships as needed to manage the total financial services relationship for our customers and prospects.

Community: Represent the Bank in various civic and community functions to further enhance the Bank's image and development of additional business.




Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years experience in a sales, customer service, or lending role.

Additional Requirements:
Requires a Series 6, 63 and state specific life insurance licenses or ability/commitment to secure them within a reasonable time of placement into position.
