Under the direction of the Budget/Finance Director, the Student Accounts Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective organization and operation of all functions of the billing, collection, deposit, disbursement, and record maintenance of student accounts across the college. This includes overseeing tuition and fees, bill payment, sponsored billing, and tax credits; and coordinating activities of accountants engaged in collection of overdue payments from students. The Student Accounts Manager provides direct administrative support, oversight, communications coordination, and data on a broad range of issues that are sensitive, confidential and/or complex in nature. Duties are performed at a fully operational level, using either established standard guidelines and/or procedural methods, or improvising solutions and alternatives. *Senior level may be hired, depending on candidate qualifications. View/download job description including hiring salary range: Student Accounts Manager Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards) Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Examples may include a Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related experience; an Associate’s Degree and five years of related experience; or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position. Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position: knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Strong background in computers and technology including experience with standard Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines; perform accurate, detail-oriented calculations, utilize automated computer programs, and prepare financial reports and spreadsheets. Willingness to learn, and ability to research and effectively analyze data. Proficient at balancing a strong focus on details with an understanding of larger college issues and impacts; works independently towards established goals and deadlines. Must be able to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships within the office, with college staff, and with external contacts.
