Budget Manager

The position ensures that the budget unit meets its goals, responsibilities, fund source guidelines and requirements. Ensures that budgets reflect priorities contained in the strategic plan and annual program plans. Ensures that Agency has adequate fiscal information to make determinations about existing proposals and do long-range planning. Negotiates conflicts regarding budget priorities within and across budges. Maintains up-to-date budget procedures. Represents the Executive Director to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors as requested, and produces budgets that reflect inter/intra-unit budget priorities across yeas as well as within the budget cycle. Monitors assigned budgets to ensure maximum utilization of resources. Ensures that budget spending remains within budget and is in compliance. Ensures that Council managers have comprehensive, accurate, and timely budget information for planning and operations. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business finance and accounting, or related field is required. Three (3) years of experience in administration is required. Supervisory experience desired. Must have a minimum of two (2_ years of experience in data management and extensive word processing and spreadsheet. Knowledge of government financial programs and fund accounting strongly preferred. Ability to analyze financial data and make projections. Must have conflict management and negotiation skills.

Salary Range: $2,284.80 - $2,513.28 (Bi-Weekly)

Certifications Required: Valid Kentucky driver's license. Any other screening, physicals and testing required by funding source, licensing and/or regulations.
