Payroll Administrator
Constellation Services is now hiring for full time Payroll Administrator. This position will be responsible for all tasks involved in processing weekly payroll for 10+ companies in multiple states, ensuring that all employees of the organization are paid accurately and on time. Other duties include managing backend data relating to the hours worked by an employee matched with their pay periods and hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days and vacation days. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Accounting degree and previous experience required. Excellent pay and benefits with growing dynamic company and opportunity for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review timecards and process payroll
- Process time corrections as needed
- Ensure all payroll related tax and benefit payments are made in timely manner
- Compile date and remit reports to multiple unions
- Maintain employee payroll records
- Facilitate new employee into benefit packages
- Process terminations and COBRA eligibility
- Ensure all necessary State and Federal tax forms are filled out correctly and on time
- Manage open enrollment process
- Act at liaison between employees and insurance carriers
- Compile data and process reports for certified payroll
- Request data and process pension withdrawal liabilities each year
- Ensure new hires are set up correctly within payroll
- Maintain labor cost rates for accurate job estimates and projections
Position Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Good math and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment preferred
- Experience with reporting for multiple locations
- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
