Grant County Deputy Auditor
Grant County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, located in Elbow Lake is currently accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Auditor. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and Associates/Technical degree with coursework in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field and considerable experience in account.
This position, under the direction of the County Auditor is responsible reviewing and processing payroll and filing payroll reports. Also for a wide range of accounting support functions in maintenance of the County's accounting system such as processing auditor, commissioners warrants into the voucher system and printing check. Receipts all revenues received from all departments, balance all cash funds with the Treasurer's office and assist in reconciling and balance all accounts, and reports and including mortgage and deed tax.
Assist with calculation of property taxes, property tax levies, distrusting property tax settlements and checking for delinquent taxes during the deed during the deed recording process.
The Deputy Auditor assists in the administration of the election processes such as accepting and entering voter registration cards into the state system and administers absentee voting processes and assists in compiling and reports all election results to the Secretary of State.
The Deputy Auditor is a full-time, non-exempt, union position. Beginning pay will depend on training and experience.
