Manage all operations in accounting for multiple companies, to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, journal entries, budgets , monthly financial statements and weekly reports.

Researching, preparing and complying with all federal, state, county and local regulations.

Ensuring quality control for all finances, payroll, employment taxes, etc.

Creating and reviewing weekly and monthly financial reports.

At least 5 years of QuickBooks experience.

Responsibilities also include:

Construction accountants are responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, which can be complex due to factors like long timelines and fluctuating costs. Some of their responsibilities include:
  • Cash reconciliation and management
    Ensuring cash transactions are reconciled accurately and cash flow is managed effectively
  • Job cost accounting
    Tracking and analyzing project costs, such as labor, materials, and overhead
  • Financial reporting
    Summarizing the financial status of a project in reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, which are used by stakeholders and project managers to make decisions
  • Accounts payable
    Ensuring that invoices from subcontractors and suppliers are processed accurately and on time, and that subcontractors and suppliers are paid in accordance with contractual terms
  • Balance sheets
    Creating monthly balance sheets to track a construction business's financial health, and balance sheets at the end of the fiscal year
  • Tracking business expenses
    Categorizing expenses by service and job to track how much money is spent and how much is brought in
     
     
     
     Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
