Grand Forks, ND, Fargo, ND with telework options available after an initial training period.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position in the 1000 broadband, exempt from FLSA (not overtime eligible).

SALARY:
$115,000+ minimum annual salary (dependent on experience)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Financial Systems will have at least 5 years’ experience in supervision and will oversee the financial operations team, setting clear goals and providing guidance to ensure high performance, accuracy, and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing daily financial processes, conducting performance evaluations, resolving conflicts, and developing team members' financial expertise. The role requires effective delegation of tasks, optimizing workflow, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills are essential, with a focus on mentoring and driving continuous improvement in financial operations. This position serves as the primary point of contact between senior management and the team. Applicants with a CPA designation will be highly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/MIS/IS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, management, systems development, project management or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated ability to supervise others.
• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting ERP business analysis.
• Proficient in utilizing financial software tools and applications.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead change.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor or Certified Management Accountant
• Work experience in higher education environment.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials software.
