Qualifications
SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: Auditing and accounting for daily revenue to assure that all revenue has been accurately reported, that all assets have been properly accounted for, and that all paperwork is prepared in accordance with the internal control procedures of the Enterprise.
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES: The Associate Accountant is responsible for performing the daily revenue audits, associated accounting entries and reports in gaming or non-gaming areas as well as related internal controls. Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Purchasing activities. The Associate Accountant must prepare various reports for management and other users and be responsible for answering any questions regarding these reports, findings and exceptions. The Associate Accountant will assist the Accountant to provide Customer Service to our guests or other employee including issuing office supplies. The Associate Accountant may be responsible for recording slot machine meters and preparing meter comparison reports. The Associate Accountant may be responsible for trackingeporting various cash desk and gaming transactions and preparing various monthly reports for management. The Associate Accountant responsibilities may include maintaining filesecords consistent with the Enterprise record retention and destruction program and maintaining the required subsidiary ledgers. Responsible for administering the Enterprise office supply system including inventory, ordering, distribution, and reporting. The position will be responsible for other responsibilities and projects as required by the CFO.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Key Gaming License.
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Requires two year of post-secondary education in accounting, business administration or data processing. Must be able to communicate in the primary language of the workplace.
Experience: Experience in accounting or related business office environment preferred. Computer literate with knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software. 10 key by touch and data entry skills. Speed and accuracy required.
Physical: Visual acuity; finger dexterity; repetitive motions; position requires sitting for long periods; reaching; bending and lifting up to 40 pounds.
